Locking cargo boxes are designed to be placed on the rear of golf carts and utility vehicles for added secure storage. The gas springs securely lift the lid and also keep the lid shut. The tailgate can fold all the way down, or can be secured with the chains to serve as a shelf. The tool box is tall enough to accommodate a 5 gallon paint container and have the lid locked shut.
